Held in our gorgeous 28 m2 upstairs loft style suite, this larger group session is complimentary to advanced players who are proficient in improvisational jamming and are familiar with the "standards" of the genres. July 13th sees us kick off with a fusion of Jazz/ Soul/ Funk/ Blues. World & Open Jamming. Redmoon music does not interfere with the flow or suggest any set lists for the studio A jam sessions but we do take the time to match a cohesive group of players for en exciting, quality and enriching session. Here's how it works, Grab your ticket and bring your gear. We provide Mics, PA and a tech to help you line check. There are 5 Speakers in the room but up on stands and as foldback and the room is staged for musicians to face each other. Ear Plugs are supplied also. Studio A is acoustically treated and fits around 8 musicians nicely so we'll aim for that number of quality players if its viable. Please join the waitlist if its full! For these sessions there is no " host" as such as we do expect players at this level to have formed some solid rehearsal techniques and are able to work well in this environment without any musical direction however... here are the rules of play. 4.45 Load in , Set up & Introductions 5.00 Line & Sound Check 5.15 Jam Start 7.15-7.45 Break/ networking/ Regroup 9.00 Load out A message from Cara and some things to consider : Please respect others during sound check and tuning Please show player etiquette during solos etc and leave space for others in the pieces Please keep all language respectful and inclusionary- no hate speech and please try to keep songs with offensive language to a minimum - within your creative freedom of course! :) Please ensure you come prepared with all gear you need including batteries, strings, leads, pedals etc. Please stick to session times Please only park car in loadin bay at front door for no more than 2 mins at a time- then park your car Trolleys/ Dollys are provided Please respect our neighbouring businesses when entering and leaving our studios or when taking breaks. There is an area behind our building which is suitable for smoking (please dont smoke near the entrances of our building or neighbouring businesses). If you are bringing any refreshments or catering please note all drinks must be in a can or bottle (no open cups). A small fridge for drinks is available. Tea, Coffee Available also.
